Create Your Profile

Hosts will be interested to see who you are, where you're from, and why you're excited to travel! Taking your time in creating your profile will set you up for the most compatible matches with host homes. Building your profile can take as little as 15 minutes, but it’s best to not rush through this!

Hosts have with a wide range of needs they are seeking help with in exchange for an agreed upon amount of help per day or per week. Searching our growing network of hosts is easy – use our filters to show location, type of volunteer activity, etc. to find hosts you’d be interested in volunteering for. Send them a personalized message requesting to stay!

GEt SET

Once you've made arrangements with a host (including the type of volunteering, dates of stay, and other details), pack your bags and prepare for your trip. Volunteers need to arrange their own transportation, so load up your car or secure a plane ticket for the journey ahead!

STEP 4

Go!

When you arrive at your host’s home, you get to live with them like you’re a member of their family. That’s why, except when agreed upon otherwise, hosts provide complimentary food and lodging.

Most Cross Exchange hosts seek more than just an extra set of hands; they’re eager to share meals, connect with you, and make you feel at home in their city. Additionally, every host ensures that church services are accessible to their volunteers, so you can find comfort and community there as well.
